Comfort and Fit
Remember that each finger has a unique ring size, which tend to increase by approximately one size or so as you reach your index finger. Make sure when measuring for your ring, that you have decided which finger it will belong to!
How to estimate
There are several ways to gain a good idea of what your ring size is. Measuring the diameter of a ring you already wear is a great place to start. Put a ruler across your ring and take an approximate measurement in mm. Compare it to the chart below, this will give you an idea of where you currently sit. If you want a more accurate ring size for a specific finger, you will need to measure the circumference of your finger, with a ribbon or our helpful downloadable sizing tool below.

When should you size up?
Think about how and where you will where your ring. If it is an engagement ring, you want it to fit nice and snug while still being comfortable (especially if you opt for a larger centre stone). If you are purchasing a cocktail ring that may have a wider band, a Russian trilogy ring that has three bands in one, or intend to stack your rings, you are advised to go up half to one size larger for more comfort. Wider bands tend to fit tighter on the finger.
